CHALLENGE
Revitalize and differentiate the B2B Enterprise branding and marketing of a global creative powerhouse, Shutterstock, to better resonate with advertising agencies and SMBs while retaining brand consistency.
SOLUTION
As the lead for Shutterstock Enterprise’s B2B product suite, I spearheaded the rebranding effort, ensuring it aligned with Shutterstock’s established visual identity yet catered specifically to the distinct needs and preferences of our enterprise clientele.
To achieve this, I directed our design team to shift the brand’s visual language for B2B marketing from the recognizable Shutterstock red to a more refined, upscale palette featuring black as the dominant color. This subtle shift created a sense of exclusivity and sophistication that distinguished our B2B offerings from the consumer-facing side
Next, we focused on curating aspirational and unexpected imagery that spoke to the creativity and ambition of our target audience. By blending the latest creative trends with striking, vibrant visuals, we crafted print and digital collateral that remained bold and eye-catching. This approach not only ensured that our B2B materials felt distinct and ahead of industry trends but also showcased our product offerings in a way that clearly addressed the needs of ad agencies and SMBs.
RESULTS
The new branding strategy successfully positioned Shutterstock Enterprise as a premium offering distinct from its B2C counterpart while maintaining brand cohesion. This visual and strategic differentiation led to increased engagement from our target B2B audience, enhancing brand perception and driving demand.
